The Story that build the NPC Indiana Muscle

The NPC Indiana Muscle was founded in 1989 by Eric and Crista Schmidt, starting with the name NPC Southern Indiana, and then being renamed into the NPC Indiana Muscle. This was one of the first Body building shows in Indiana.

The first show in 1989 was held at the Vanderburgh Auditorium in Downtown Evansville, which would later be referred to in the history of the show as its "home". The Vanderburgh Auditorium would later be renamed to the Old National Events Center.

Over the last 20+ Years Eric and Crista have created a legacy that will never be undone.

In 2017, Eric took a chance and held the show at the Old National Events Plaza, with a record attendance of over 900 attendance, the event included Vendors and Powerlifting.

In 2020, Eric enlisted the help of Trevor Baker of Baker Consulting & Founder and CEO of Active Nutrition then a up and coming supplement company to help him market and assist in the the upcoming show at The Memorial Coliseum in Evansville. This was a a special year but a hard year as Trevor fell in love with the process, the production, and the event, all while helping Eric run a event in the middle of a pandemic. Trevor mentioned to Eric that he would want to become a co-promotor of the show one day.

OUR MISSION

The legacy continues...

In 2021, Eric allowed Trevor to take on a bigger role in the show the Expo Coordinator with the upcoming show at the DoubleTree with vision to return the show to its home at the Old National Events Plaza in Evansville.

In 2022, Eric, Crista and Trevor returned the Indiana Muscle back to the Old National Events Plaza with Trevor as Director of Production and Eric as the promotor, with a successful show Trevor and Eric knew they had reached their goal of returning the show to its home.

2023 and 2024, were remarkable years for the NPC Indiana Muscle, and we can't wait to show you what 2025 has in store.......
